Installing PSchema

Dependencies

Before compiling PSchema it’s necessary to install a number of other packages (valac, gnome-autogen.sh, libxml2, libgee and liblua5.1), for users running Debian or Ubuntu this can be achieved by simply running:

sudo apt-get install valac gnome-common libxml2-dev libgee-dev liblua5.1-0-dev

If you wish to build bindings to dynamic languages (such as Python) it is also necessary to install support for GObject introspection:

sudo apt-get install gobject-introspection libgirepository1.0-dev gir1.2-gee-1.0

Compilation

To prepare the source for compilation it is first necessary to run the autogen.sh script. Inside the directory in which you extracted the PSchema source, simply run:

./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr

You can then compile PSchema by running:

make

And finally install it by running:

sudo make install
